CAF Releases Full Match Schedule for 2025 AFCON in Morocco

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the complete match schedule for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place in Morocco. The tournament will feature 52 matches across nine venues in six cities, promising an exciting showcase of African football.

Hosts Morocco will kick off the competition against Comoros on Sunday, December 21, at the newly constructed Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat. The 69,500-seater stadium, one of the largest in Africa, will be a key venue throughout the tournament.

Rabat, the nation’s capital, will host four match venues, making it the central hub of the competition. Other cities set to welcome AFCON action include Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier, each hosting at least one game.

As the tournament progresses, the four quarter-final matches will be split across Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, and Agadir. The semi-finals will take place in Rabat and Tangier, while Casablanca’s historic Stade Mohammed V will stage the third-place play-off.

The final, where the new champion will be crowned, is expected to be held at the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, marking a grand conclusion to the month-long competition.
