Footballer Jordan Chiedozie in Coma After Tragic Motorway Accident
English-born Nigerian footballer Jordan Chiedozie, 30, is in a controlled coma after a severe accident on the M27 motorway. Following a match against Tavistock, Chiedozie and Bashley FC’s physio, Reighan Taylor, experienced a flat tire.
While assessing the situation, Chiedozie was struck by another vehicle, resulting in multiple broken bones and critical injuries. He was promptly transported to Southampton Hospital.
The driver involved has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Taylor, though physically unharmed, provided immediate first aid at the scene.
Bashley FC expressed their devastation and announced that Chiedozie remains in a controlled coma. The club has requested the postponement of their upcoming match and has received an outpouring of support from the football community.
