Asake Confirms Exit from YBNL and Launches His Own Label
Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has officially confirmed his departure from YBNL Nation.
Rumors had been circulating about a possible split from Olamide’s label, with some suggesting it was a controversial exit. However, Asake put the speculation to rest by releasing his latest track, Why Love, under his own label, Giran Republic.
Earlier this year, he paid tribute to Olamide in his song Military, dismissing any talk of bad blood between them.
Asake joined YBNL Nation in February 2022 and later secured a distribution deal with Empire in July of the same year.

It can be noted that the singer took to social media asking for a graphic designer to create a flyer, which later turned into a challenge that many criticised, stating it undervalued creatives.
Moses Bliss has now issued an apology, saying “I sincerely apologize to every graphic designer who felt disrespected or undervalued… that was never my intention.”
He added “The goal was to give creatives a platform to showcase their work, not to undermine their value.”
