Ayra Starr, whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, has opened up about how her time as a child chorister influenced her music career.

She revealed that she started singing at just 10 years old and was the lead vocalist in her church’s children’s choir.

Speaking in a chat with Amazing Jazzy, she shared how that early experience played a key role in shaping her voice.

“I loved being in the choir. I was probably the loudest child there. It was a kids’ choir, so everyone was really young.

That was when I first realized I could actually sing, and it helped me develop my voice and music,” she said.
