Angel Unigwe speaks up against Allegations made by Kanayo O. Kanayo
Earlier Kanayo O. Kanayo releases a statement about the Teenage Actress and her mother making a breach in contract, The Nollywood actress, Angel Unigwe, finally speaks up to these claims. Angel Unigwe’s team shares a press statement revealing their side of the story, Angel’s team states that Angel always honors her contracts and denies the Kanayo’s claims against her.
Angel Unigwe’s team clarified that her contract stated a wrap-up time of 9pm. Despite concerns about shooting 57 scenes in three days, they continued based on assurances from Kanayo O. Kanayo. On the final day, they extended filming by 45-50 minutes beyond the agreed time as a gesture of goodwill. They left the location without any protest from the director or production manager, having fulfilled their obligations. They further explained that KOK’s online rant was a rude shock to them, as it was baseless and defamatory. According to them, the veteran actor’s video threatened Angel’s safety and dignity by vowing to disrupt any movie set where she was found filming.
Kanayo O. Kanayo was accused of gender-based oppression by Angel Unigwe and her mother in their press statement. They alleged that Kanayo O. Kanayo attempted to oppress them due to their gender and subjected them to derogatory remarks because they insisted on adhering to their agreement terms. They stated their intention to take legal action against the veteran actor, emphasizing that such behavior highlights broader issues of gender-based oppression. They expressed disappointment in experiencing such conduct in an industry that should prioritize mutual respect and professionalism. They reaffirmed their support for Angel and their resolve to protect her health, safety, and professional integrity. They assured their supporters that they have initiated legal proceedings to address the defamatory statements and threats against Angel, and they are committed to pursuing justice in the matter.
Nigerian Singer, Rema is ste to make his debut performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2025. Apart from Rema other African artists will also perform at the Coachella, Amaarae and Tyla will be at the event.
The Coachella is the world’s biggest music and arts festival and is definitely a huge accomplishment and recognition to the African artists set to perform.
The first Nigerian Artist that performed was Seun Kuti in 2012, followed by Mr Eazi and Burna Boy in 2019 and Ckay in 2022 the finally Tems in 2024.
American Actor Jesse Eisenberg, popularly knows for his role “Now You See Me”, was injured while filming “Now You See Me 3”. The injury was sustained when shooting a complex scene in a rotating hallway.
The actor shared the experience and how he got injured “The movie is truly spectacular,” Eisenberg shared with Variety. “Like, the sets we’ve been on, one of which I just tore a tendon in my finger… a huge hallway. And the hallway turns 360 degrees. This humongous 80 foot, 20 story, 20 foot high hallway.”
Despite the injury the actor remained enthusiastic about the upcoming movie which will premier on 14th of November, 2025.
