Trump Campaign Claims Torture, Launches Mugshot Merchandise
Donald Trump’s campaign team has claimed the former US president was “tortured” when he turned himself into a Georgia jail last August.
“I want you to remember what they did to me. They tortured me in the Fulton County Jail, and TOOK MY MUGSHOT. So guess what?” a new fundraising pitch from his camp said on Monday, June 24. “I put it on a mug for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE!”
The campaign is now offering fans the chance to purchase “limited edition” coffee cups and T-shirts featuring Trump’s mugshot from his booking.
Trump was the first former US president to have his mugshot taken and be booked in jail for a criminal case.
Initially, he faced 13 counts for alleged 2020 election tampering in Georgia, but that number has since been reduced to 10.
After his booking, Trump’s fundraising efforts raised $4.18 million in 24 hours, selling T-shirts and other memorabilia with the mugshot.
His team later raised $53 million in a 24-hour period following his conviction in the Manhattan “hush money” case.
The campaign is offering the mug for a $47 donation to Trump’s 2024 election effort.
A February report from WinRed, the Republican’s online fundraising platform, confirmed Trump raised $4.2 million the day after his mugshot was released.
Trump still faces sentencing in the Manhattan business fraud case, where he was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying documents.
He is also under indictment for allegedly mishandling classified documents found at his Mar-a-Lago, Florida, home.

Isaac Fayose Criticizes Government Over Taxation and Insecurity
Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has spoken about what he considers one of the country’s biggest problems, stating that many Nigerians are worried about government taxation, insecurity, and the increasing rate of kidnappings for ransom.
He lamented the situation and criticized the government, arguing that these issues have become deeply rooted and that there appears to be no lasting solution in sight.
According to him “In Nigeria we have two governments. One is collecting tax, the other one is collecting ransom. Both of them have one thing in common which is to make life difficult for their people.
The one that is collecting tax without doing anything will come and share you rice and semolina. The one that is collecting ransom is doing giveaway on social media.”
