“I Am 32 and You’re Calling Me Old?” – DJ Cuppy Reacts

Popular Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Cuppy recently sparked reactions online after sharing a playful post about age on her X account. The popular Nigerian DJ and philanthropist joked about being called old at 32.

In the post, she said, “I am 32 years old, and some of you people are calling me old. If that is the case, what are we calling people in their 40s? Prehistoric? Fossilized? Museum exhibits? Nawa.”

Furthermore, the post quickly gained attention, with many followers chiming in with their own jokes and comments about aging.

DJ Cuppy, whose real name is Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, has been a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment scene for years. Born on November 11, 1992, she is the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.

Despite coming from a wealthy background, Cuppy has built a name for herself through her music career and various philanthropic efforts.

She started DJing at a young age and gained recognition with her debut mix, House of Cuppy, in 2014. Since then, she has performed at major events, including the MTV Africa Music Awards and international fashion shows.

Beyond music, Cuppy is known for her charitable work. In 2018, she founded the Cuppy Foundation, which raised over ₦5 billion for the Save the Children initiative, helping to improve the lives of vulnerable children in Nigeria.

Also, in 2023, DJ Cuppy made headlines when she was appointed as the first international ambassador for King Charles III’s The King’s Trust. Her role focuses on supporting young people through education and entrepreneurship.

She also moderated the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2024.
