“I’m Focused on my Team and my Players” — Ruben Amorim Says
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear that Marcus Rashford is not currently his player.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, Amorim addressed Rashford’s recent move away from United.
After falling out of favor with Amorim at Manchester United, Rashford made the switch to Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season. Since joining Villa, Rashford has found form, including scoring a brace in their 3-0 FA Cup win against Preston on Sunday.
When asked about Rashford’s progress, Amorim responded: “I’m focused on my team and my players. Rashford is not my player at the moment. But of course, I’m happy when our players do well on loan.”
Amorim also provided an update on Ayden Heaven’s injury, revealing it isn’t too serious. “Ayden’s injury isn’t major. He’s not ready yet, but he will play again this season,” he confirmed.
