Fireboy DML Opens Up on Life Before Music: ‘I Considered Selling Lamps Under the Bridge’
Nigerian Artist Fireboy DML reveals his lifestyle before his musical career started and became successful.
The artists shared that despite his degree he was planning on being a trader. He shared that his intention was to sell lamps under the bridge in Ajah.
However, his plan came to a halt after Olamide signed him in. “Thank God for that [Olamide signing me]. I was considering selling rechargeable lamps. I met one guy under Ajah Bridge, he was telling me about the business and I told him I was interested.
“To me, at the time, it was more dignified. At least, people will sell you a lamp seller but selling pepper soup is crazy, bro. My parents didn’t know I was doing menial jobs. It was crazy but now, we thank God.”

Moses Bliss has now issued an apology, saying “I sincerely apologize to every graphic designer who felt disrespected or undervalued… that was never my intention.”
He added “The goal was to give creatives a platform to showcase their work, not to undermine their value.”
