Julio Baptista Says Cristiano Ronaldo is the Greatest of All Time, Ahead of Messi
Former Arsenal forward Julio Baptista has declared Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest footballer of all time, placing him ahead of Lionel Messi.
Baptista, who has played alongside top-tier talent, argues that Ronaldo’s career has been more challenging and impressive, making him the rightful GOAT. He believes Ronaldo’s success across multiple leagues and teams sets him apart.
Speaking to FootballItalia, Baptista shared his thoughts, saying, “If I had to choose, I’d consider the fact that Ronaldo’s journey was harder. He was named the world’s best at Manchester United and won the Champions League there, which was no easy feat.”
While Messi has always had top players around him, Baptista points out that Ronaldo has proven himself in various environments, making his achievements even more remarkable.
With Messi at Inter Miami scoring 8 goals and 3 assists in 10 games this season, and Ronaldo netting 32 goals with 4 assists in 35 appearances, Baptista’s admiration for Ronaldo’s diverse career is clear. He believes it’s time for the world to recognize Ronaldo as the true GOAT.
Former English footballer, Jamie Redknapp, makes bold suggestion regarding Mohamed Salah to leave the club, Liverpool.
The suggestion came after Liverpool manager Arne Slot criticized the player — a move Redknapp called out following Salah’s benching in the last match.
The former player shared “I don’t necessarily think in January. I just think we have got to let this settle. But I don’t foresee that he will see out the two years of his contract. I think it might be more in the summer.”
