“Tems Is One of the Biggest and Still Decent” – Spyro Praises Her as a Role Model

Nigerian singer Spyro, whose real name is Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, has stirred conversations online. This happened after saying many gospel artists are more focused on making money than ministry.
Speaking on Hip TV’s Trending with Pascal, the ‘Jesus boy’ argued that there’s little difference between gospel artists and secular ones, as both are driven by financial goals.
“They’re not really ministers. They’re just like us in the Afrobeats scene—doing it for the business side,” he said.
Spyro also addressed the challenges faced by women in the music industry, especially the pressure to act a certain way for fame. He praised singer Tems for staying grounded.
“Tems is a big deal globally and still carries herself decently. I sometimes wonder how she does it. She’s someone young girls should look up to,” he added.
