Keyamo Urges APC Members to Support Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election
Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to put President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid above their personal political goals.
Speaking during a live interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Keyamo said Tinubu needs a second term to complete the reforms his administration has started. He warned that allowing a new government to take over in 2027 could disrupt the progress already made, repeating the cycle of abandoned policies.
“Every APC member should focus on securing Tinubu’s second term, even if it means sacrificing personal ambitions,” he said.
He referenced the recent defection of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, to the APC as a significant gain, especially since Delta was a major supporter of the opposition in the past. Keyamo, who hails from the state, said he willingly handed over party leadership there to Oborevwori to strengthen the party ahead of 2027.
According to him, unity and sacrifice within the party are key to securing another term for Tinubu. “It’s not about me,” he said. “What matters is that Mr President wins again.”
Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Value Reorientation, Law Mefor, speaks on Peter Obi and shares that he made wonderful achievements as a governor and roots for him for the presidency.
“The intention of the Anambra State government is not to indict Peter Obi. Peter Obi did well as governor.
“There is no rift between Governor Soludo and Peter Obi. They are both in politics, and they have their interests to defend.”

A crowd came out to support the politician and show their support for him ahead of the election next year.
They moved with the message, “Peter Obi will reset Nigeria, Peter Obi for president.” Many shared their beliefs that Peter Obi can truly help Nigeria. This has gained some attention, and people shared their thoughts.
Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mazi Afam Osigwe, speaks on the election and a popular notion that is happening. He shared how some politicians depend on the courts to win their elections instead of the voters (the people).
“A judge once presented a paper called ‘The Judicialisation of the Electoral Process.’ He argued that because of the difficulty of proving non-compliance with the Electoral Act, the courts have gradually and increasingly usurped the role of the voters. I couldn’t agree more.”
“They believe that between polling units and collation centres—especially at night—miracles happen before daybreak. So why vote?” he asked.
