Flick Criticizes Referee After Barcelona’s Heartbreaking Loss to Inter

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick expressed his frustration with Polish referee Szymon Marciniak after his team’s 4-3 loss to Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-final second leg on Tuesday.
Flick, visibly disappointed, felt that Marciniak favored Inter Milan in every 50/50 decision throughout the match at San Siro. The game ended 3-3 after 90 minutes, with goals from Lautaro Martinez, Hakan Calhanoglu, Eric Garcia, Dani Olmo, Raphinha, and Francesco Acerbi, sending the match into extra time. However, Inter’s Davide Fratessi found the back of the net in extra time, sealing their place in the final.
“We were really good in the second half, and I don’t want to focus too much on the referee, but every 50/50 decision went in their favor,” Flick said in his post-match interview. “We gave everything we had, but in the end, that’s how it went, and it made me a bit sad.”
Although Flick chose not to discuss the specifics of his conversation with Marciniak, he did make it clear that he had already shared his thoughts with the referee privately. Barcelona now shifts focus to their upcoming La Liga clash against Real Madrid in the El Clasico this Sunday.

“I’d Still Take Photo with Messi, Ronaldo & Neymar Even If We Lost 10-0” – Osimhen says

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has revealed the three football icons he admires the most—Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar. In a chat with media personality Daddy Freeze, Osimhen said his respect for the trio runs so deep that he wouldn’t mind losing badly just to share the pitch with them.
“I’ve always told my friends that if I ever get to play against Messi, Ronaldo, or Neymar, I’ll take a picture with them no matter what,” he said. “Even if my team loses 10-0, I really don’t care.” The Napoli striker, who recently wrapped up a loan spell with Galatasaray, is currently on break and expected to make a decision about his future club soon.

Messi Says He and Ronaldo Aren’t Friends but They Respect Each Other

Lionel Messi has opened up about his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo, making it clear they’re not close friends, but there’s mutual respect between them. Speaking in an interview with DSsports, Messi explained that their rivalry was strictly professional—just two top players giving their all for their teams.
The pair once stood on opposite sides of football’s biggest stage, with Messi shining at Barcelona and Ronaldo at Real Madrid. Now, their careers have taken different paths—Ronaldo playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia and Messi with Inter Miami in the MLS.
“Our rivalry stayed on the pitch,” Messi said. “We never took it personal. Off the field, we’re just two regular guys. We don’t hang out or talk much, but there’s always been respect.”

Messi Scores Stunning Free-Kick as Inter Miami Beat Porto 2-1

Lionel Messi delivered a stunning free-kick as Inter Miami fought back to secure a 2-1 win over FC Porto on Thursday. After a goalless draw in their first game against Al Ahly, Inter Miami found themselves behind early on when Samuel Aghehowa scored from the penalty spot in the 8th minute. But the MLS side responded in the second half.
Just two minutes after the restart, Telasco Segovia capped off a brilliant team move with a smooth finish to make it 1-1. Messi then stepped up with a moment of magic. Ten minutes into the second half, he curled a free-kick beautifully into the net from the edge of the box, sealing the comeback and marking his 50th goal for the club in style.
