Okocha tells Osimhen to Stay in Turkey After his Great Season with Galatasaray
Former Super Eagles captain Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has shared advice for striker Victor Osimhen as he faces a big decision this summer. Osimhen’s future at Galatasaray remains uncertain after his season-long loan from Napoli ended in May. While Galatasaray want to sign him permanently, the Nigerian star has also attracted interest from clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to Turkish broadcaster TRT Spor, Okocha, who once played for Galatasaray’s rivals Fenerbahçe, encouraged Osimhen to consider making sacrifices for the right move. “Turkey is an excellent place to live and play football,” Okocha said. “Osimhen had a fantastic season with Galatasaray and seems happy there. Sometimes, you need to make sacrifices when making career decisions. If he’s happy, why not stay?”
Okocha added he wasn’t sure where Osimhen would go next but wished him success wherever he lands. Last season, Osimhen scored an impressive 37 goals across all competitions for Galatasaray, clinching the Golden Boot as the Turkish Super Lig’s top scorer.

“We Were Forced to Leave Immediately” — Iran Coach Speaks Out

The coach shared that they had already planned to rest for a day for recovery before returning, but instead were told to leave immediately.
“After the game, they said to us, ‘You have to leave immediately. We’ve been asked to get on a plane and return to our camp in Tijuana, and we are really troubled by that.’
“They are forcing us to go back early. They are making the situation more and more difficult, more hurdles, but we’re not going to let that stop us from doing our best.”
