The singer took to social media to share how he depended on music during a difficult time, he then reveals that it was the same time period his song became popular.

Kunmie shares how his song because popular all of a sudden thanks to Tik Tok and claimed the charts, this gave him a new focus in life.

You know, the true story of ‘Arike’ gaining traction is, we were in the studio when, you know, we dropped the video on TikTok, and I think I had 200 followers at the time, and you know, I went back to recording, you know, came back, and I saw that video already had like a thousand videos.”
