Kwak Sun Hee Comes Out and Introduces Her Girlfriend to the World
South Korean reality star Kwak Sun Hee has come out publicly, revealing that she’s in a relationship with a woman. The announcement has sparked conversations across social media and the entertainment world, especially regarding the visibility of LGBTQ+ figures in Korean mainstream media.
On July 13, Kwak took to Instagram to share the news with her followers. The post featured a series of sweet and personal photos with her girlfriend. Snaps from outings, matching outfits, and moments that gave fans a glimpse into their relationship. She captioned it with a short line: “Stunning day by day and this is who we R.”
The post also included a new shared Instagram account that she and her girlfriend created together, which gives fans a chance to see more of their journey as a couple. Then, she added a light-hearted note about becoming a “lovestagram” user.
Her post quickly went viral, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Many fans thanked her for being honest and courageous, especially in an industry and culture where such openness is still quite rare. Others saw it as a much-needed moment of representation for queer women in Korea.
Kwak later posted a follow-up message, where she thanked everyone who had reached out with kind words. She shared that she felt supported, happy, and grateful, but also asked for privacy on behalf of her partner. She stressed that her girlfriend is not a public figure and deserves space and respect.
Nigerian singer BNXN has made a claim online that has generated mixed reactions. The singer stated that living in Lagos is more expensive than living in Los Angeles, drawing from his personal experience in the United States.
Speaking about life abroad, BNXN explained that there are fewer financial obligations and requests for money compared to Nigeria, where people are often expected to support relatives and acquaintances.
“I was telling someone, since I got to the United States, I haven’t seen one egbon adugbo asking me to press money. Lagos is too expensive abeg. Lagos is more expensive than LA (Los Angeles),” BNXN stated.
It can be recalled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has filed charges against Blessing CEO over an alleged ₦13 million fraud case.
The case is reportedly linked to claims that the influencer obtained ₦13 million through an alleged cancer-related fundraising scheme.
It can also be recalled that Blessing CEO previously claimed she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer, a revelation that drew sympathy from many people and reportedly led to financial support from members of the public.
While investigations are still ongoing, the influencer remains innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James celebrated her 31st birthday and shared pictures on social media with her daughter.
The influencer spoke about how her life has changed and described motherhood as the greatest gift she has received.
