Freakier Friday – In Cinemas August 8
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are back in a new twist to the classic body-swap tale. Nearly twenty years after the original Freaky Friday, the duo returns.
This time, they are back with more chaos and even more family drama. It’s not just a reboot, but a continuation, where different generations collide again. It lands in cinemas nationwide on August 8.
Wednesday Season 2 – On Netflix August 6
Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday Addams in the much-awaited second season of Wednesday. This time, the mystery deepens, the tension rises, and Nevermore Academy isn’t any less creepy. Tim Burton stays at the helm, and Netflix is dropping the first half of the season on August 6, with the rest following in early September.
The Naked Gun – In Cinemas August 1
A new generation is getting its own dose of ridiculousness with The Naked Gun reboot. Liam Neeson takes over the role of the clumsy cop Frank Drebin, and Pamela Anderson joins in for the ride. It’s a bold take on the original, and it promises laughs while still tipping its hat to the classic.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood – STARZ, August 8
The new prequel series, Blood of My Blood, explores the origin story before Claire and Jamie’s time. The first two episodes arrive on August 8, with weekly releases after that. Expect love, drama, and Scottish history, all over again.
King of the Hill Season 14 – Hulu, August 4
After years off the air, King of the Hill is back. The Hill family returns to Arlen, Texas, but it’s not the early 2000s anymore. Still, Hank, Peggy, and Bobby feel just as familiar. All 10 episodes of the new season drop on August 4 on Hulu.
Eyes of Wakanda – Disney+, August 1
Set in the Marvel world of Wakanda, this animated series takes us into new territory. Eyes of Wakanda follows elite warriors on a mission to retrieve stolen vibranium across the world. It’s rich in lore and full of action, with all four episodes already available from August 1.
Chief of War – Apple TV+, August 1
Jason Momoa stars in this historical drama set in 18th-century Hawaii. It’s a story of war, leadership, and power struggles between island rulers. The first two episodes are already streaming on Apple TV+ since August 1, with more coming every Friday.
Peacemaker Season 2 – HBO Max, August 21
John Cena returns as Peacemaker, the unpredictable antihero. Season two brings new threats, more action, and that offbeat humor fans loved in season one. It officially kicks off on August 21 on HBO Max.
