The Ogun State House of Assembly has called on the State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, to enhance road reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts across the state.

Speaker Oludaisi Elemide made this appeal on Tuesday in response to concerns raised by members Oluseun Adesanya, representing Ijebu-North East State Constituency, and Fola Salami, representing Ifo 2. They reported poor road conditions in their constituencies.

Elemide acknowledged the government’s efforts in road construction and rehabilitation but emphasized the need for more comprehensive action throughout the state. Adesanya and Salami specifically requested immediate repairs for the Stadium-Idomila-Idomowo-Barrack road in Ijebu-North East and the Taju Bello-Hercules-Giwa road in Ifo 2, citing issues such as flooding affecting nearby homes.
