Tacha Urges Nigerians to Hold Governors and Local Leaders Accountable, Not Just Tinubu
Former Big Brother Naija star, Tacha, has urged Nigerians to also pay attention to the roles and actions of governors and other leaders in the country, not just President Tinubu.
The reality star spoke on the issue of how ₦2.2 trillion was shared among the federal, state, and local governments, yet with little visible impact. She stressed that leaders in these areas should also be held accountable, not only the president.
“₦44 billion — I didn’t say million, ₦44 billion — has been disbursed to a local government chairman. Watch how they’ll do absolutely nothing with it, because at the end of the day, they understand that Nigerians will come out and drag Tinubu. They’ll come out and drag the presidency.”
“Money has been given to your state governors, money has been given to your local government chairmen, your House of Reps members, your senators. Hold them by their neck, let them deliver. If you start dragging these people individually, we’ll see that Nigeria will change.”
