Nigerian Prankster ZFancy Arrested Over Controversial Prank Video
Popular Nigerian prankster and social media influencer, Ubani Zion, known as ZFancy, was recently apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force National Centre for Cyber Crimes in Abuja around 11 a.m. on Wednesday. According to a source at the centre, ZFancy’s arrest is linked to one of his prank videos.
The arrest follows allegations on social media accusing ZFancy of involvement in rituals, sparked by a video shared on June 16, 2024, by entertainer Dami Adenuga. In the video, a woman identified as Kokina called out ZFancy, claiming he engaged in ritualistic activities while searching for her missing friend.
Responding to the viral accusations, the Nigeria Police on social media advised Kokina to report the incident to the nearest police station for investigation. Force Spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed ZFancy’s arrest, attributing it to a case related to a misleading prank.
