Rooney Says He Has No Faith in Ruben Amorim as Man United Struggles Continue
Wayne Rooney has voiced strong doubts about Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim following the club’s latest setback.
United fell 3-1 to Brentford on Saturday, a result that leaves them with just two league wins this season and languishing in 14th place. To add to their troubles, they were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup by lower-league side Grimsby Town.
Rooney, speaking on his Wayne Rooney Show, questioned whether Amorim has what it takes to steady the ship at Old Trafford.
“Ruben Amorim is around my age, a bit younger, and I believe he’ll have a good career ahead of him. But right now, I don’t even recognise Manchester United,” Rooney said. “I really hope he turns it around, I want him to. But if you ask me whether I believe he will, I have to be honest, I don’t have any faith in that.”
