Rio Ferdinand Says Liverpool Are The Team To Beat In The Premier League
Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has tipped Liverpool as the main side to watch in the Premier League this season, describing them as the “team to beat.”
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand reacted to Arsenal’s dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Newcastle at St. James’ Park, a result that kept the Gunners just two points behind league leaders Liverpool. The win came shortly after Liverpool’s surprise loss to Crystal Palace, which gave Arsenal a chance to close the gap.
Ferdinand praised Arsenal’s resilience but stressed that Liverpool remained the standard. “That was a huge moment for Arsenal. They silenced critics by winning at Newcastle, which is never easy,” he said. “But let’s be clear, Liverpool are still the team to beat. They’re champions, they’ve got the experience, and everyone else has to chase them.”
Liverpool have released a list of players who are confirmed to leave the club this summer.
The list includes star players Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konaté. While some players are leaving, others have been offered new contracts.
The players who have been offered fresh terms include Kyle Kelly, Afolami Onanuga, Oliver O’Connor, Lucas Pitt, Ben Trueman, Matthew Wright, Prince Cisse, and Keyrol Figueroa.
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has urged Ademola Lookman to consider a move to Galatasaray.
It can be noted that Lookman recently completed a transfer to Atlético Madrid, and since then, many European clubs have shown interest in the player.
Osimhen then shared an encouraging message to the player, stating that he would be welcome at Galatasaray.
“We are waiting for you at Galatasaray. Come and be a part of this family.”
French footballer Kylian Mbappé has spoken on which player between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will score more goals at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
It can be noted that the FIFA World Cup will begin on Thursday and will be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
The player picked Lionel Messi to score more goals than Ronaldo during the tournament.
