Wike discloses construction of 40 houses for Appeal Court, Federal High Court and other Justices
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), recently disclosed some positive developments in the judiciary.
He highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to enhance the administration of justice by announcing the construction of 40 houses for the Justices of the Court of Appeal, the Federal High Court, and the FCT High Courts.
During the groundbreaking ceremony for the court complex in Abuja, Minister Wike confirmed that President Tinubu has also approved retirement homes for the heads of courts, reflecting a commitment to the well-being of judicial officers.
Furthermore, the Minister addressed the challenges faced by commuters in the FCT, particularly during the rainy season, and discussed plans to improve the commuting experience and security with the provision of a bus terminal.
These initiatives demonstrate a positive step towards enhancing the infrastructure and overall environment for both the judiciary and the public.

Nigerian Air Force Destroys Terrorist Hideouts In Borno
It has been reported that the Nigerian Air Force has spotted some terrorist hideouts in Borno State.
The force was able to take out some of the facilities used as hideouts and disarmed some of the fighters.
The Director of Public Relations for the Air Force, Ehimen Ejodame, shared that they are beginning to catch up with and evoke fear among the terrorists.

FRSC Deploys 1,889 Officers Ahead of Eid-el-Kabir in Kano
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reportedly deployed 1,889 personnel across Kano State ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
This was done to ensure the safety of people traveling in and out of the state during the festive period.
In a statement, the agency said: “The special patrol is part of routine operational measures introduced during festive periods when there is usually high traffic volume on major roads.”
“The aim is to reduce road traffic crashes, minimise congestion, and ensure the safety of lives and property during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.”

APC Releases Lagos House of Reps Candidates for 2027 Elections
The All Progressives Congress Lagos State chapter has released the names of its candidates for the House of Representatives in the 2027 elections.
The winners of Ikeja, Agege, and Ikorodu federal constituencies are James Abiodun Faleke (Ikeja Federal Constituency), Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa (Agege Federal Constituency), and Babajimi Benson (Ikorodu Federal Constituency).
Others include Muftau Egberongbe (Apapa), Moses Olanrewaju (Amuwo-Odofin), Adeyemi Alli (Mushin I), Moses Oluwatosin Fayinka (Mushin II), and Fuad Kayode Laguda (Surulere I).
