“They Took the Towels Repeatedly” — Mamadou Niang on AFCON Fan Incident
Former Senegal footballer Mamadou Niang has spoken out about an incident that occurred during the AFCON, sharing what Moroccan fans allegedly did.
It can be recalled that discussions arose around goalkeeper towels being taken during matches.
Niang recalled what he witnessed during Nigeria’s match, saying “We saw what happened against Nigeria, where the Nigerian goalkeeper, Nwabali, had to keep going to the bench to get a towel to dry his gloves and his face.
“And then it happened again several times. They took Édouard Mendy’s towel, maybe five or six times.” Many have since stated that this is an issue that needs to be addressed.

Former footballer, Wayne Rooney speaks on Arsenal and stated that Viktor Gyökeres is really transforming the team this season.
During a recent interview, he stated “We saw what Gyökeres did at Sporting, I know it was obviously a different country but he was scoring more goals than anyone and was absolutely on fire.”
“I have backed Gyökeres this season and people have given me a bit of stick but I still think he is making a difference for Arsenal, I really do.”

During a recent interview, the former player spoke on his thoughts “He’s had a tougher time this season. What he did last season, everyone said, ‘Wow!’
“What he’s had to deal with in terms of coming back, Calafiori has been really good this season, which is why he hasn’t played a lot of minutes.
“I think he might play in this game against Chelsea, maybe, but when it comes to defense, especially against Portsmouth, he has seemed a little weak at times.”
