It has been reported that popular footballer Cristiano Ronaldo boycotting the Saudi Pro League is preventing a transfer from happening.

It was originally planned that Benzema would be moved to Al-Hilal, which Ronaldo opposed, stating that the move would affect various teams with transfers.

He expressed his concern that the owner of Al-Hilal, Prince Al Waleed, is not under Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), unlike other clubs and can use his personal funds to finalize transfers.

During a recent interview, the former player spoke on his thoughts “He’s had a tougher time this season. What he did last season, everyone said, ‘Wow!’

“What he’s had to deal with in terms of coming back, Calafiori has been really good this season, which is why he hasn’t played a lot of minutes.

“I think he might play in this game against Chelsea, maybe, but when it comes to defense, especially against Portsmouth, he has seemed a little weak at times.”
