Davido Confirmed for FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert
It has been reported that Nigerian singer Davido has been selected as one of the performers for FIFA’s 2026 Countdown Concert, which will be held in Los Angeles ahead of the World Cup.
The singer will join Major Lazer on stage for the event.
According to FIFA “Los Angeles will play host to a high-energy celebration, featuring Diplo’s Major Lazer and Davido, the first artists announced for what promises to be an unforgettable night of music, football and culture.”

Falz Reflects on the Experience That Made Him Step Away From Law
Nigerian singer Falz has shared the reason he stepped away from practising law. He recalled an experience where he appeared in court but was recognised because of his music career.
He said “There was a day in court when I announced my appearance, and the judge asked, ‘Are you not the one doing something on the side?’
Imagine becoming even more famous and showing up in court. It could create distractions and make some clients feel I would be too occupied with music and other engagements. It would have been difficult because my face is already out there.”

TikTok influencer Jarvis has addressed pregnancy rumours that began before her wedding.
It can be noted that many speculated she was getting married early because she was pregnant. The influencer, however, denied the rumours, explaining that she has been taking weight gain pills, which have changed her appearance and led to the assumptions.
She said “Getting pregnant is not a bad thing. But I’m not pregnant. Please calm down. I already told you guys that I’m taking weight gain.”

Nollywood Mourns Actress Temitope Osoba After Cancer Battle
Nollywood is mourning the loss of actress Temitope Osoba, who has passed away after battling cancer.
It can be recalled that the actress had been battling cancer since undergoing surgery in November 2024.
The news was revealed by Alesh Ola Sanni, who paid tribute to the actress.
He wrote “Couldn’t sleep since last night. It’s well. Rest in peace, my dearest sister Temitope Osoba. We had amazing times and good memories together. Till we meet again. I really don’t know what to say. Gosh.”
