Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin has spoken about his past marriage and shared the painful experience he went through before it ended.

He shared “On the 4th of January 2015, that’s when I met my now ex-wife. I engaged her on the 19th of March 2015. After I engaged her, I set up a nice dinner at the Red Restaurant of the Eko Hotel. I invited all my friends, big boys, everybody. She didn’t turn up. She had dropped the ring and left,” he recalled.

He also said “I was so embarrassed because it was a big thing on social media. Everybody was talking about it. Have you ever cried to a point where you cannot cry again? That’s where I was.”

He shared that even after everything, they eventually got married, but in the end, the marriage did not last. He also spoke about the emotional stress he went through.

Nigerian singer Ruger has spoken about relationships and shared that he is open to dating an unemployed person, saying money is not the problem since he has enough.

Speaking about his past relationships, he said “A woman’s financial status doesn’t matter to me. I am rich. I have dated girls who didn’t make money before. They just sleep and wake up,” he said.

However, he shared that he is ready to settle down with someone and explained one of the reasons why.

“I keep ordering takeouts because there is no one at home to cook for me. That’s one of the reasons I want to settle down,” he said.
