Sabrina Carpenter’s latest album, Short n’ Sweet, has sparked speculation among fans about a possible connection to Shawn Mendes. Although their rumored relationship, which Mendes denied, was brief and lasted only a few months, it caught attention, especially after Mendes briefly reunited with his ex, Camila Cabello, following his time with Carpenter.

While none of the parties involved have addressed the speculation, Carpenter clarified that the album title refers to short relationships, not her height, and noted that these brief relationships had a significant impact on her

In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Carpenter explained, “I called it *Short n’ Sweet* for multiple reasons. It was not because I’m vertically challenged. Some of these relationships were the shortest I’ve ever had, and they affected me the most.”

A recent report by Anonymous NG on X has unveiled alarming allegations concerning Nigeria’s oil sector, suggesting a troubling pattern of corruption and financial exploitation involving high-profile figures.

Here’s a detailed look into the claims and their potential implications.

Nigeria’s oil industry is a complex system involving several stages

Extraction: Oil is drilled from the ground by various companies.

Processing: Crude oil is sent abroad for refining into finished products.

Transportation: Refined oil is moved to storage, blending facilities, and ports.

Export: At the port, oil is loaded onto tankers and shipped to Nigeria and other destinations.

Sale: In Nigeria, oil is sold at prices set by importers, often subsidized by the government to keep costs down for consumers.

According to Anonymous NG, a significant shift has occurred in Nigeria’s oil sector.

Oando PLC, a major oil company, has reportedly acquired Nigerian Agip Oil Company.

This move places the Tinubu family in control of vast oil reserves and production facilities across the country.

The report alleges a controversial strategy involving the Tinubu family

Refining and Exporting: Instead of investing in local refining, they are purportedly using a Maltese refinery to process Nigerian oil.

This setup allows them to exploit resources while masking their activities through international operations.

Buy-Back and Resale: The refined oil is allegedly sold back to Nigeria at higher prices, with subsidies officially removed but secretly continued.

Subsidy Exploitation: Claims suggest that despite the removal of fuel subsidies, payments continue secretly, benefiting the Tinubu family.

These allegations suggest several potential issues:

Rising Prices: Prices for petroleum products in Nigeria may continue to soar due to monopolistic practices.

Stifling Competition: The report indicates efforts to undermine new competitors like the Dangote refinery, aiming to maintain market control.

Long-Term Effects: Even after leaving office, Tinubu’s alleged influence could perpetuate a system of financial exploitation and corruption.
