Nigerian actress Laide Bakare has spoken about the ongoing custody situation involving her sons and revealed some of the challenges she has been going through.

“I’m currently not thinking straight. People say you shouldn’t take your problems to the public or social media, but when it gets scary and threatening, one has to speak out.”

“My worry now is about the boys being with another wife who isn’t treating them well,” she said.

“On one occasion, over the phone, I heard my baby’s father’s wife telling some boys not to beat my children where the scars would be obvious, but to strangle them instead. I recorded the conversation as evidence,” Bakare said.

“I have complained to my baby’s father several times, but he has refused to act on it,” she said.

Nigerian singer Bnxn has spoken about his personal relationships and shared how he had to cut some of his close friends off after discovering certain things about them.

He said the decision came after he realised that some things were not right in the relationships.

“Months after I dropped Captain, you know, I had close friends that I had to detach from or kind of sever the relationships mainly because I discovered some things that were just not right,” he said.

He also opened up about a personal challenge in his life that was not visible to people as he continued to manage his music career.

“You know, so it was important that I had to sever those ties because it could have really cost me and my career in the long run,” he added.

Popular singer Shakira and her ex-partner, Gerard Piqué, have appeared in court over the visitation arrangements for their children, four years after their separation.

The former couple appeared at the City of Justice in Barcelona on October 6, 2026, for a hearing concerning the current arrangements for their sons, Milan and Sasha.

Shakira is reportedly asking the court to reconsider the travel arrangements during shorter school breaks, arguing that the children should not have to spend a significant part of their holidays travelling between Miami and Barcelona.

Her proposal reportedly asks Piqué to travel to Miami during shorter breaks so the children can remain in their home environment and avoid the disruption and jet lag associated with long-haul travel.

Shakira’s legal team has reportedly stressed that the request is not aimed at reducing the children’s time with their father, but at making the arrangement easier for them while allowing them to maintain their school, social and family routines.
