Tems, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, recently talked about her struggle with body confidence. In a chat with YouTuber Korty EO, she shared how she almost lost confidence because of distractions from music producers.

Tems said that her main focus has always been on making music, not how she looks.She explained that her body sometimes got in the way of her career, so she started wearing baggy clothes to get less attention from producers.

“I didn’t always like my body. I didn’t understand a lot of things. I was going to studios alone and meeting people I didn’t know. I would message people to ask them to teach me how to make music,” she said.

“So, because I just wanted to make music, if my looks were distracting you and stopping me from reaching my goal, I was going to help you. When I went to the studio, I wore baggy clothes and acted more serious because I didn’t want to be a distraction,” Tems explained.
