Ayra Starr and Tems Top Spotify’s List of Most Streamed Nigerian Artists
Nigerian singers Ayra Starr and Tems have been announced as the most streamed Nigerian artists on Spotify. Spotify, the global music streaming platform, revealed this in its list of Nigeria’s top 30 tracks for the first half of 2024.
Ayra Starr’s prominence was marked by her collaboration with Rauw Alejandro on the track ‘Santa,’ which took the top spot. She also secured the second position with her solo hit ‘Comma,’ while Tems claimed third place with ‘Love Me Jeje.’ Luciano and Omah Lay’s ‘Another Vibe’ came in fourth, while Burna Boy and Savage’s ‘Metro Booming Just Like Me’ was the fifth most streamed. Tyla and Tems’s ‘No.1’ followed in sixth place.

New York Priest Removed for Allowing Sabrina Carpenter Provocative Shoot In Church
New York Priest was stripped off his position for allowing American Singer, Sabrina Carpenter to shoot provocative scenes in the church. The priest was accused of not being able to manage his duties and was released from it. The New York Priest was a leader in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn.
The church began an investigation after the music video was released in 2023, apart from this shooting illegal financial transfers were found.
Bishop Robert Brennan released a statement to BBC and shares the updates “I am saddened to share that investigations conducted by Alvarez & Marsal and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP have uncovered evidence of serious violations of Diocesan policies and protocols,”.

Bamiloye highlighted that this behavior leads to marital challenges for pastors, urging better understanding and mutual respect in such relationships.
