The student, identified only as Emmanuel, was fatally shot by unknown assailants in one of the private student hostels in the area. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.

Comrade Oladele Emmanuel, Vice Chairman of the National Association of Universities Students, has called upon both security forces and the university administration to thoroughly investigate the case and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.

Emmanuel emphasized that the death of this student is not merely a personal loss to his family and friends but a profound blow to the entire AAUA community. He underscored that Emmanuel’s potential and contributions to the academic environment are irreplaceable.

“The devastating loss of Emmanuel impacts us all deeply,” stated Comrade Oladele Emmanuel. “It is crucial that we reaffirm our commitment to addressing this tragedy with the full force of the law and a comprehensive investigative approach.

His untimely death is a significant loss, and our deepest sympathies go out to his loved ones during this challenging time.”

He encouraged students and members of the AAUA community to come forward with any information that might aid in the investigation, stressing the importance of transparency and promptness in resolving this case.

“We trust that the authorities will act swiftly and with full transparency to address this incident,” he added. “It is imperative that we come together in our sorrow and determination to foster a safer and more secure environment for everyone at AAUA. We owe this to Emmanuel, his family, and our entire community.”
