Media figure Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman (VDM), has expressed frustration over the focus on the Big Brother Naija (BNaija) reality show amid Nigeria’s serious challenges.

With fuel prices currently at N1300 per liter and long queues at gas stations due to insufficient supply, VDM highlighted that the rising fuel costs will drive up food prices and other expenses, worsening living conditions for the population. He believes that no BBNaija contestant can solve the country’s pressing issues.

While he doesn’t begrudge people their enjoyment of the show, he feels it is misplaced, as the harsh realities will persist after the show ends. VDM also criticized the Tinubu administration’s economic policies and urged the youth to vote out the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 elections.
