Flood at Volo Museum’s Titanic Exhibit Sparks Paranormal Theories

Last month, the Volo Museum in suburban Chicago experienced a mysterious flood during its $6 million Titanic exhibit, leading to speculation about paranormal activity. This was the first flood in the building in four decades, and investigators noted the deluge resembled scenes from the 1997 movie Titanic and the actual sinking of the ship. Despite thorough inspections, no cause for the flood was found, adding to the museum’s history of “unusual and unexplainable occurrences,” according to museum director Brian Grams.
The Volo Museum, which houses rare artifacts including a 1912 Renault French concept car, one of only two ever produced, has long intrigued paranormal investigators. Known for its reputation for paranormal activity, the museum was featured on Discovery’s Ghost Lab in 2009 and had its own History series, Volo, House of Cars. The museum remains open to the public, continuing to draw interest with its enigmatic Titanic exhibit.
