The singer, who uses she/they pronouns and has faced significant health challenges, including lupus and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder, shared that the harsh reactions have dampened her enthusiasm. Halsey revealed that, despite her initial excitement about returning to music after her illness, the adverse response to “Lucky” has led her to regret her comeback. She emphasized that she no longer wants to engage in activities that do not bring her joy, expressing a deep sense of disillusionment with the current state of her career.
