Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Manchester City, despite ongoing speculation about the England managerial position.

With Gareth Southgate stepping down after England’s defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final, the Football Association (FA) is actively searching for a new head coach.

The application deadline for the position was August 2, but Guardiola has emphasized his commitment to Manchester City, where he still has a season remaining on his contract.

In a recent statement, Guardiola expressed his contentment with his current role.

He stated, “I am very happy and fully committed to Manchester City. I am not aware of where these rumors are coming from, but I want to make it clear that I am thoroughly satisfied here.

I am eagerly looking forward to when our players return so we can begin training together again and focus on our objectives for the upcoming season.”

The suggestion came after Liverpool manager Arne Slot criticized the player — a move Redknapp called out following Salah’s benching in the last match.

The former player shared “I don’t necessarily think in January. I just think we have got to let this settle. But I don’t foresee that he will see out the two years of his contract. I think it might be more in the summer.”
