Spyro: Mother’s Sacrifices Drive My Success
Nigerian singer Spyro recently appeared on the Just Chude podcast, hosted by Chude Jideonwo, where he shared how his mother has been a significant source of motivation behind his success.
Spyro reflected on his childhood, revealing that as a pastor’s child, his father’s financial withdrawal due to his poor grades led his mother to take on the responsibility of paying his school fees. He expressed deep gratitude for her sacrifices, stating that his recent purchase of a car for her was a fulfilling milestone that highlighted his desire to make her happy and repay her efforts.
Spyro described his mother’s struggles, noting that she worked hard to support him, his twin sister, and his older brother, often taking on extra jobs to make ends meet. Despite his father’s intentions to instill discipline by halting financial support, Spyro admitted it strained their relationship and made him question his father’s affection. He acknowledged that while his father’s actions were meant to be disciplinary, they had a lasting impact on their bond.
Reality star Phyna has responded to critics over her cosmetic surgery and backlash from haters.
She said critics have gone quiet because they no longer have her body to mock, as she now feels confident in her appearance.
She also addressed claims that she spent all her money on surgery, stating:
“My nyash na instalmental payment I do. I no know why people dey vex for me. I don dey pay for this nyash since February 2025.”
Nigerian actor Jim Iyke has spoken about his marriage and why it ended.
The actor revealed he was going through emotional struggles that affected his relationship with his wife and home.
He said “I lost my spark, and my wife suffered for it. And then I became an obsessive dad. I gave everything in me to my son. I was a proper stay-at-home dad.”
“I became an excellent father but a woeful husband. After a while, she said, ‘I can’t find the man I married anymore.’”
Bruno Fernandes, captain of Manchester United, has explained why he turned down a contract offer from Saudi Arabia.
It can be recalled that the player was offered a £200 million contract from Saudi clubs.
He said following his dreams is more important to him, stating “Instead of becoming the richest person from my town ever, I want to live my dreams. And I want to pass these values on to my children.”
He added that his wife has supported his journey since he was young.
