Asake Reveals Wizkid as Key Inspiration and Excitement for Collaboration on New Album
Afrobeats artist Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has shared that his admiration for fellow musician Wizkid has been a significant source of inspiration for him.
In a recent statement, Asake expressed his excitement about collaborating with the Grammy-winning star on his newly released third studio album, “Lungu Boy.”
Asake spoke about his collaboration with Wizkid on the track “MMS,” which is featured on the album and available on digital streaming platforms. He explained that working with Wizkid has been a long-awaited milestone for him.
In his own words, Asake said, “Wizkid has always been a major inspiration for me. As an emerging artist in Lagos, I have been looking forward to the right moment to work with him. When the opportunity finally presented itself, it was an easy decision.”
He further explained that “MMS” stands for “Mr Money Sound,” a term that reflects his musical journey and aspirations.
Asake’s collaboration with Wizkid on this track represents a significant achievement and personal milestone in his career.
