US rapper Travis Scott, 33, was arrested in Paris after a confrontation with his bodyguard at the luxurious George V hotel.

The incident occurred early Friday morning, with reports suggesting Scott was intoxicated. French prosecutors confirmed that the altercation led to his arrest and the launch of a criminal investigation.

The rapper, who had attended the Olympics men’s basketball semi-finals the previous evening, has had previous run-ins with the law, including an arrest in Miami Beach in June for trespassing and disorderly intoxication.

Scott is known for his successful music career, with his album “Utopia” earning a nomination for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards.

His real name is Jacques Bermon Webster. The arrest in Paris adds to his growing list of legal troubles, drawing significant media attention.
