Femi Otedola Donates N5 Million and Scholarships to Quadruplet Family
Femi Otedola, the renowned billionaire businessman, has extended a generous gift to the family of Sodiq Olayode, who recently welcomed quadruplets.
Otedola’s philanthropy through the Femi Otedola Foundation (FOF) has led to a significant donation of 5 million Naira to support the Olayode family.
Additionally, the foundation has committed to providing scholarships for two of the quadruplets, covering their education up to the university level.
This act of kindness follows a social media appeal from James, a friend of Sodiq, who highlighted the family’s urgent need for financial help.
The appeal garnered widespread attention, resulting in donations surpassing 14 million Naira from various individuals.
On Monday, Philip Akinola, representing the Femi Otedola Foundation, presented the cheque of 5 million Naira to the Olayodes. Otedola’s well-known commitment to charitable causes and support for individuals in need prompted his intervention after learning about the family’s situation.
In response to this generosity, Abiodun Olayode, the mother of the quadruplets, expressed her hope that First Lady Remi Tinubu would also offer support.
She emphasized the critical importance of education for her children and shared her personal challenges, noting that she had only planned for one child but was now caring for four. Abiodun’s plea was a heartfelt request for additional assistance to help secure her children’s future.
