Dangote Group Denies IPMAN’s Fuel Pricing Claims

Published

on

The Dangote Group has issued a formal statement to address recent speculation surrounding fuel prices. Headlines, including those from Punch Newspapers on August 13, 2024, suggested that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) projected a price of N600 per litre for Dangote petrol.

This has prompted the group to provide a clear clarification. The Dangote Group categorically states that IPMAN is not an official business partner and that there have been no discussions or agreements concerning the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) with the association.

The group stresses that IPMAN does not have the mandate or authority to make statements on behalf of Dangote or influence its pricing policies. The Dangote Group further urges the public to refrain from giving credence to speculative announcements and misinformation.

For accurate and official information regarding pricing and other corporate matters, stakeholders and the general public are encouraged to consult the group’s verified communication channels.

This statement aims to prevent any confusion and ensure that the public receives reliable updates directly from the Dangote Group.
