Danielle Fishel Reveals Stage Zero Breast Cancer
Danielle Fishel, known for her role as Topanga Lawrence on *Boy Meets World*, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. On the August 19 episode of her podcast *Pod Meets World*, which she co-hosts with Rider Strong and Will Friedle, Fishel revealed that she has been diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a very early stage of breast cancer. She described her condition as “high-grade DCIS with micro-invasion,” but emphasized that it is technically stage zero, meaning it has not spread beyond the ducts.
Fishel reassured her listeners that she is undergoing surgery to remove the cancer and will follow up with additional treatments. She urged others to stay up-to-date with mammograms, explaining that early detection has made her treatment plan straightforward. Fishel hopes her experience will motivate others to prioritize regular screenings, highlighting that catching cancer at stage zero is ideal.
