Arsenal have gained an advantage in their pursuit of Ademola Lookman as PSG hesitates to meet Atalanta’s asking price, according to Sky’s transfer expert Florian Plettenberg.

Despite Lookman’s strong desire to join PSG, the deal is stalled due to the clubs’ failure to agree on a transfer fee, opening the door for other suitors, including Arsenal. Lookman has been omitted from Atalanta’s squad for the second consecutive game, fueling speculation about his future.

Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation and may attempt a late bid for the forward, who is valued at around £51 million. Lookman, who joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022, has impressed with 24 goals in 62 matches and previously shone during loan spells at Fulham and Leicester City. His representation by the same agency as Arsenal’s Kai Havertz might further influence his potential move to the Premier League.
