According to Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA received an emergency call around 6:00 PM concerning the train accident that occurred along the railway line near Cappa in Lagos.

Responding swiftly to the distress call, the agency’s response team arrived at the scene and discovered an adult male lying on the track. It was determined that the man had been hit by an oncoming train while walking along the railway track.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the victim, who was partially clothed and remains unidentified, died instantly as a result of the severe impact from the collision.

LASEMA’s response team proceeded to bag the remains of the deceased and is now awaiting the arrival of officials from the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU), who will transport the body to the morgue for proper identification and further procedures.

This unfortunate incident highlights the dangers of walking along railway tracks, with LASEMA emphasizing the need for safety and caution in such areas.
