Lupita Nyong’o Pays Tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Lupita Nyong’o is paying tribute to her *Black Panther* co-star Chadwick Boseman four years after his death. On August 28, 2024, Nyong’o shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, featuring a black-and-white photo of Boseman and a joyful picture of them together.

She quoted, “‘Grief never ends. But it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It’s the price of love.’ – unknown,” and added, “Remembering Chadwick Boseman. Forever.”

In her September 2020 tribute, she described her struggle to speak of Boseman in the past tense, calling his death a daily shock. She praised his “quiet, powerful presence” and described him as someone who operated on a higher frequency, embodying an ageless, immortal energy. Nyong’o honored his legacy of love and commitment, noting how Boseman’s dedication to his craft and his care for humanity will continue to inspire future generations.

Popular Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD reveals why he dislikes the description “legend”.

In his recent appearance on Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, the actor stated that he thinks being called a legend is a scam.

“I think the legend of a thing is a scam, I have my legends like Uncle Pete and Uncle Olu Jacobs; these are our ancestors and legends.

“I have been watching him (Olu Jacobs) when he was saying Ribena children are the healthy children. So I don’t subscribe to being called legend and when they call me that I feel they are trying to relegate me to neighbourhood of retired people or those nearing retirement.”

Right now, Ghana is a better team [than Nigeria’s Super Eagles]. Individually, we [Nigerians] are better. But as a team, Ghana is better.

“For some reason, we have not been able to combine the brilliance of each player to form a solid team. I think it will take time. We have a lot of talents but we have not been able to utilise them.”

Tunde Onakoya Aims to Break World Record for Longest Chess Marathon

Nigerian Chess Player Tunde Onakoya sets himself in preparation for a challenge to break the world record for the longest chess marathon.

The chess player aims to reach 70 hours in New York City, from the 17th of April to 20th. The last score noted for the world break is 61 hours.

Onakoya will partner up with U.S. National Chess Master Shawn Martinez to break the world record.

He then speaks on his goal after breaking the world record “My goal is to inspire the world and secure resources to create a massive, tuition-free school for Nigeria’s homeless kids.”
