Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold speaks on Nigeria and the economy. He shared how he does not feel the impact of inflation in his daily life, despite the rising cost of living and increasing prices of things, as it does not directly affect him.

“I don’t feel the inflation going on in the country directly. Until my staff tell me sardines have increased in the market, I’ll be like, ‘Really?’ I wouldn’t know because I don’t go to the supermarket. Or when we buy foodstuff, it’s more often than usual,” he said.

Nigerian comedian I Go Save speaks on the upcoming election and simply states that it will be between the poor and the poor people who have been paid.

“2027 election is between the poor and the paid poor,” he wrote.

His comment sparked many reactions, with some agreeing with him and others calling for a better change in the country.

Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin speaks on Big Brother Naija and shares his view that the reality show is not as hot as it used to be. He reflected that during the early days, people always talked about the show and everyone knew what was happening.

He described it as “Big Brother Naija reminds me of a massive artist who is still successful, still performing and still has fans, but no longer commands the conversation like before,” he said.

“That’s where Big Brother is today. It’s still a big brand, but the cultural relevance isn’t what it used to be.”
