Aloy Ejimakor, the lead counsel representing Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), asserted on Saturday that releasing Kanu would resolve the ongoing insecurity in the Southeast region of Nigeria.

Ejimakor claimed that individuals obstructing Kanu’s release are benefiting from the current unrest in the region.

In a post on X, Ejimakor emphasized Kanu’s deep significance to many supporters, stating, “While understanding human motivations can be challenging, it is clear that MAZI NNAMDI KANU holds a profound place in the hearts and minds of countless individuals.”

Ejimakor confidently predicted that the end of Kanu’s detention would lead to a significant reduction in the region’s insecurity.

He accused those hindering Kanu’s release of exploiting the chaos for their own gain, asserting, “You can be certain that the insecurity in the Southeast will diminish once #MNK is freed. Those blocking his release are profiting from the current turmoil in the region.”
