Edo Monarch and Four Remanded in Arson Case
The Elegbedi of Egbedi, Oba Muideen Azeez, and four others have been remanded in custody after failing to meet bail conditions in an arson and robbery trial.
The defendants, including Akibu Abioye, Yisa Akolapo, Rasidi Ayandiran, and Sarafadeen Abioye, face multiple charges related to a September 3, 2019, incident in Iloba, where they allegedly attacked a palm oil processing site, robbing women and causing damages worth around N10 million.
The court had set bail at N5 million, requiring two sureties for each defendant, but they could not fulfill these conditions. Testimony indicated that Oba Azeez had been involved in violent actions against a prosecution witness. The case is set to continue on October 16.

Royal Family in Grief After Death of Literature Student and Cousin to Princes William and Harry
The royal family, Prince William and Prince Harry, express sadness as they grieve over their 20-year-old cousin who passed away.
