Diddy’s Lawyer Plans Third Appeal for Bail After Two Denials

Music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is preparing for a third appeal for bail following two previous denials.

According to court records, his attorney Alexandra Shapiro filed the notice after Combs was arrested on September 16 at a Manhattan hotel.

He faces accusations of organizing “freak offs,” described as sexual performances, and allegations of drugging and assaulting his victims.

Magistrate Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky denied his bail again on September 18, citing concerns over his substance abuse and potential danger to others.

Combs, who pleaded not guilty, remains in custody at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. His next court date is October 9.

Police Arrest Ogun Serial Killer, Confesses to Multiple Murders and Rapes

Ogun State Police have arrested 29-year-old Ogunnaike Phillips, a suspected serial killer, rapist, and member of the Aye confraternity, for the brutal murder of 17-year-old Habeebah Akinsanya. The victim was raped and killed on her father’s farm in Abeokuta.

Phillips also confessed to murdering three other young women and burying their bodies in remote areas.

His accomplice, Danjuma, remains at large. Phillips, who demanded the death penalty, admitted to luring victims, extorting ransom, and eventually killing them. Authorities are intensifying efforts to apprehend the rest of the gang.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has elevated Speaker Tajudeen Abbas to the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) after a protest from the House of Representatives.

Initially awarded the Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) on October 1, Abbas’ recognition was upgraded following concerns about national precedence.

The President’s Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the decision, stating it corrected a “historical error and oversight.”

The formal decoration of Abbas, the Senate President, and other officials will take place at a later date.
