A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has emphasized the importance of patriotism, stating that Nigerians who harbour hatred toward their country may struggle to succeed in their pursuits.

Igbokwe shared this message in a post on his official Facebook page as part of the celebrations for Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day anniversary.

In his post, Igbokwe urged Nigerians to appreciate and cherish their homeland, stating, “Believe that you hold a beautiful country in your hands.

Love Nigeria, and in return, Nigeria will love you back. Celebrate Nigeria, and Nigeria will celebrate you. Honour the nation, and it will honour you.”

He further expressed that those who choose to despise the country might find it hard to progress within its borders, adding, “If you hate your country, you may not find success here.
